Let’s make it
your best day ever.
Your Story. Your People. Your Moment.
A Ceremony that feels like you.
I’m Jess Eastwood, a Wānaka-based marriage celebrant, storyteller, people-person and wholehearted lover of life.
I believe the best ceremonies aren’t the ones that follow a formula.
They’re the ones that make you feel something.
The best ceremonies,
are when your story is told beautifully.
Celebrating with the people you love, sharing the stories that matter, the unexpected laughs, the lump-in-your-throat moments and all those little details that make a life, or a love story, uniquely yours. They all add up to create your perfect day.
Whether you’re standing beside a lake saying I do, gathering your favourite people somewhere wild and beautiful, or coming together to honour and celebrate someone you love, I’ll help you create a ceremony that feels genuine, personal and completely right for you.
No cookie-cutter scripts.
No unnecessary formality.
No pretending to be anything you’re not.
Just your story, your way.
Your Wedding:
Big wedding. Tiny wedding. Barefoot by the lake. Champagne in the mountains. Your backyard with everyone you love squeezed in.
There is no single right way to get married.
My job is to get to know you, understand what matters to you and create a ceremony that feels natural, relaxed and unmistakably yours.
Memorial Service:
A beautiful farewell doesn’t need to sum up an entire life.
It needs to capture the person we are remembering personally.
Their stories. Their quirks. The people they loved. The things they were known for. The moments you’ll keep telling stories about for years to come.
I work closely with families to create funeral and memorial ceremonies that are warm, honest and deeply personal, with space for tears, laughter, reflection and love.
Storytelling:
Have a speech coming up? a Public performance?
Need help writing the perfect script and making it authentic - not chatGPT-ified?
Let’s collate ideas, I will weave some magic into it, and you’ll get the applause.
Life gives us some pretty extraordinary reasons to gather.
To celebrate love.
To welcome new chapters.
To remember someone.
To laugh about the old stories.
To say the important things out loud.
And sometimes simply to stand together and acknowledge:
This matters.
It would be an absolute privilege to help you do that.
Let’s talk.
If you’re planning a wedding, funeral or memorial and you think I might be the right person to stand alongside you, I’d love to hear your story.
HELLO
I’m Jess,
your celebrant.
I live in Wānaka with my husband of 20 years, our two boys and our much-loved dog, and sassy cat.
I love people, stories, music, mountains, adventures, meaningful conversations and those moments in life that remind us what actually matters.
Becoming a celebrant feels like a natural extension of all of that.
I’m not here to stand at the front and make your ceremony about me. I’m there to listen, guide you through the process, take care of the important details and then tell your story in a way that makes you think:
Yep. That’s us.
It would be an absolute privilege to help you do that.
If you’re planning a wedding, funeral or memorial and you think I might be the right person to stand alongside you, I’d love to hear your story.
